Captain Purr
A reckless tabby with custom-built swim goggles and an unhealthy obsession with shrimp. Brave, fluffy, and 8 pixels wide.
Golden Fish
The main scoring item in the lagoon. Swim into one for +15 pts. Collect 5 in a row to trigger a 2× score multiplier — keep the streak alive for 3×.
Shrimp
Rarer and worth more than fish. Each shrimp scores +25 pts and bobs through the water on a quick darting sine curve. Fast to miss, sweeter to catch.
Glowjelly
Pulses with neon and means well, but its tentacles will electrocute any cat that swims too close. Move slowly around it.
Barracuda
A bioluminescent ambush hunter with a glowing lure. Fast, erratic, and leaves a green ghost trail. Approach the lure at your own risk.
Old Grump
Bigger than the screen and twice as cranky. Old Grump appears at higher levels and patrols the lagoon in long, lazy arcs.
Drifty
Soda cans and tin lids someone tossed off a boat in 1991. Don't bump into them — they hurt as much as they look.
Wraps Captain Purr in a glowing bubble for 6 seconds. Survives one hit and pops with a satisfying pixel ping.
Doubles every fish you eat for 8 seconds. Combine with a streak of shrimp to absolutely demolish your high score.
Slows every hazard on screen to half speed for 5 seconds. The lagoon turns into a gentle aquarium — for a moment.
Grab the rare glowing paw icon to charge the B button. Once charged, press B to unleash a meowing shockwave that vaporizes every hazard on screen in a blinding pink flash.
A glowing heart that floats through the lagoon when Captain Purr is hurt. Grab it to restore one life — it spawns more often on one remaining life.
